Shirley Grier was taking a bath when she felt a knot in her right breast. That was in January 1968.
She immediately called the doctor but he thought it was fatty tissue and related to the birth control pills she was taking.
A few days later she began bleeding from her nipple. Her doctor sent her straight to a surgeon.
